One clove of garlic for 1 1/2 pounds of shrimp? That has to be a typo. One head of garlic would be more like it.

David

Served this last evening for my wife's birthday. Used jumbo shrimp and grilled them - it was marvelous! This recipe is a keeper.

Instead of a garnish, I added cucumber and fresh parsley to the fresh tomatoes and feta and drizzled this with lemon juice and olive oil and served as a salad on the side.

Also served with grilled asparagus and baby bella mushrooms that I sauted with a little bacon.

Added a a baguette and a bottle of white wine, we savored the evening together!

This has become a favorite for entertaining. So little time in the kitchen. I put the shrimp in a baggie with the oil, garlic, lemon juice. oregano and pepper and leave it in the fridge until ready to cook. I cook for about 3 minutes total and don't bother to turn anymore as it's just as good. Thank you!

Quick, easy delicious. Making it in winter without good fresh tomatoes, I substituted drained canned diced tomatoes and tossed them with the shrimp and spice paste before broiling, then garnished with feta. Will make again.

Elyse

Delicious and unbelievably quick. I made it as written, only with half a tablespoon of dried oregano instead of the fresh. Served hot with crusty bread and salad for dinner this evening and will throw the chilled leftovers over a Greek salad for tomorrow's lunch.

I cut the the salt in half figuring the feta was salty enough. Increased the garlic by 50% (you can't have too much can you?) I added some red pepper flakes as recommended and next time will use more. It was quite good.

You can use fish chunks, calamari, shrimp, scallops which are approximately the same size, add chopped tomatoes, capers, olives, red peppers, finely chopped shallots, onion, drizzle with more olive oil and broil. Serve with a salad, feta/romano/parm cheese, [your choice], rice, white beans, slices of lemon and crusty bread. Better one cannot buy for love or money. Into the fish rub, one can use a combo of fresh and roasted garlic.

I made this last night, and it was incredibly easy and a fairly good weeknight dinner. I think it would benefit from slightly more herbs, and maybe some red pepper flakes. Next time I will pat the shrimp dry before broiling to help make them a bit crispier.

Bazz

This was a good, easy shrimp recipe. However, next time I will saute the shrimp over high heat rather than broil... I think they get more flavor that way. i served with a side of orzo tossed with evoo, chopped feta, kalamatas, parsley, & lemon zest. Fresh oregano on the shrimp is a must!! And more garlic :)

This recipe is a keeper. Served over rice that was prepared with chicken stock and mixed with crumbled feta. Really quick, easy and delicious.

quaasam

very nice. I did let the feta cheese melt among the tomatoes and shrimp. I have used cherry tomatoes to make a presentation nicer. Serve with roasted broccolini . A light dinner very easy.

Made this last night, and just finished the leftovers for lunch. Yumm. I substituted a can of San Marzano whole tomatoes for Step 2, and scallops for shrimp. I also added some Kalamata Olives and zucchini and a little lemon juice at the end. Sautéed the zucchini with the shallots and garlic. I also increased the baking time by about 5 mins so the scallops (which were not completely thawed) were more fully cooked. We enjoyed it very much.

I agree with Leo that one head of garlic for 1.5 lbs of shrimp is a better ratio. Also, I broil the shrimp with chopped tomatoes and pitted olives from an olive bar and break feta over the dish after it comes out of the oven. Putting cold tomatoes and feta over the dish cools it too much.

Judy

Needs dried red pepper flakes to give it some zip. Too bland otherwise. Will make again. Nice with grilled asparagus and fruit salad for summer

Diana DeBartlo

Super easy and incredibly delicious. Added red pepper flakes instead of black pepper.

Made this tonight and took some of the notes from the comments section. Increased garlic to four cloves, added three tablespoons of chopped fresh oregano and added 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper. Used cherry tomatoes and broiled them for three minutes prior to adding the shrimp (with a little EVOO and salt/pepper). Added the shrimp for 2 minutes and then flipped them and added chunked feta (instead of crumbles). Back in the oven for two minutes. My only regret - forgot the crusty bread!

SeeBeth

Add halved cherry tomatoes with shrimp

Julianna Peaco*ck

Use canned diced tomatoes, drained, cooked with shrimp. Cook cheese with shrimp tooServe over quinoa

Rebecca

I served it over rice and it was really delicious!

jordynsmom4ever

Loved this so much. I used fresh feta and crumbled myself. I also got a pint of flavor bomb tomatoes and put on top. This was one of the easiest dinners I have ever cooked. Definitely making again…

Recommend roasting the tomatoes and the feta with the shrimp, and doubling garlic/herbs. Served with Israeli couscous and arugula! Easy, tasty, weeknight meal.

Glad I read through the reviews and made tweaks because this meal is bomb. Halved the cherry tomatoes and tossed with oo and a little salt. Roasted at 400° x10 min ahead of adding the shrimp. Increased the garlic for shrimp to 5 cloves and used 1/2Tbl dried oregano. Turned the heat to broil and heeded notes about 2.5 min on one side and then 2 min. Turned the oven off and added good amount of crumbled feta to warm. Cooked sm portion of spaghetti and tossed with oil. Served with bread salad.

Very Tasty And Easy

Great use for my end of season tomatoes that were ripened indoors. Only change I made was to put the chopped tomatoes in for the last minute of cooking.

Gail

This was amazing and very easy. I did need to prep the shrimp in advance, so I made a marinade instead of the paste. I tripled or quadrupled the paste ingredients (especially the garlic!) so it would generously cover all the shrimp. I gave it a good stir, and let it sit in the fridge for several hours. The feta and tomatoes added to the overall tastiness. I served it with rice and a nice Finger Lakes riesling. (2021 Boundary Breaks #239)

Very good—and fast, once you’ve peeled the shrimp. :-) I used a handful of cherry tomatoes, cut in half, and added them to the shrimp before broiling. I added the feta when I turned the shrimp.

Jill

I doubled the herbs and garlic and cut the salt in half. It was, unfortunately, rather lackluster. I used French feta. Maybe it would have been tastier with the Greek variety. I also think that the next time I will saute it and that might also improve things.

Sroos

Need noodles or rice to cut the salt intensity.

Chef Carlos

Yes, add more garlic. I halved the recipe and used one big clove. The best was how good and quick this recipe is. Easy peasy! I’ll make this one again.

Cindy

So easy! Done in 10-15 mins. sautéed instead of broiling and poured the delicious juices over the finished dish. Garnished with basil instead of oregano (not a fan over here). Just fantastic. Served over cauliflower rice.

Tracy

I made this tonight for dinner. I doubled the garlic cloves, very heavy on the pepper, used Roma tomatoes (probably should have made a different choice in tomato), placed on a baguette slice and served with a margarita. It was good!!!
