Exclusive 7.5.1 Livestream Code

As is SWTOR livestream tradition, the developers shared a code that players can redeem for an in-game poster for a limited time.

To get the Sa’har poster decoration in SWTOR, use the code LostPadawan on your account page on SWTOR’s website. Capitalization does not matter when entering in this code, and you’ll have until August 6 to redeem this code.

Twitch Drops in SWTOR

The SWTOR devs are introducing the addition of Twitch drops in SWTOR. What this means is that if you link your SWTOR account to your Twitch account, you’ll have the ability to earn a Twitch theme-inspired mount in SWTOR.

You may earn the Orlean Voidstream Mount by watching enough SWTOR streams on Twitch. To claim it, you must link your SWTOR account to your Twitch account.

You will have a limited time after this mount is released to earn it as a Twitch Drop. The Orlean Voidstream will become available with the release of 7.5.1. After 7.5.1’s release, the mount will remain available for 30 days before it’s gone.

Galactic Seasons 7 “The Greatest Bounty”

The next Galactic Seasons event will be based around bounty hunting. The Bounty Contract event will be available for the entire duration of the season. What’s more interesting is that we’ll see the return of Dark vs Light World Bosses.

Dark vs Light Bosses Return

We haven’t touched upon Dark vs Light mechanics since 2020 as this function of the game was removed years ago.

Dark Side bosses will drop Light Tokens and Light Side bosses will drop Dark tokens. These bosses will spawn on Hoth, Tatooine, Dromund Kaas, Coruscant, and Alderaan. You’ll need 8-16 players to take on these world bosses if you want to collect their drops. The bosses are as follows:

Dark Side Bosses

  • Aloeek the Voracious
  • Chanta the Unforgiving
  • Erdi the Relentless
  • Gorso the Nightmare King
  • Jinatte the MErciless
  • Night Stalker Raxine
  • Overseer Qezzed
  • Preeda the Butcher
  • Tormentor Urdig
  • Yezzil the Raging Storm

Light Side Bosses

  • Cortella the Righteus
  • Defender Gilada
  • Guardian Silaraz
  • Jaadel the Vindicator
  • Justice Orzmod
  • Keeper Anais
  • Malussa the Gleaming Star
  • Thundering Bozwed
  • Tulo the Fearless
  • Warden Nymessa

The goal with this is to allow players to purchase items from the Dark vs Light vendors on the fleet. If you’re a newer player, you never even had a chance to get any of the armor, decorations, mounts, or pets available at these vendors.

With the return of the DvL currency in season 7, you’ll have a chance to purchase these goods once more!

Season 7 Titles, Armor, Mounts, and Weapons

Five new titles were revealed in the livestream, all based around the Bounty Hunter theme. You’ll be able to unlock the following titles during Galactic Seasons 7:

  • Legacy Title: Hunter
  • Legacy Title: Carbonite Enthusiast
  • Title: Bounty Wrangler
  • Title: Hutt’s Favorite
  • Title: Bane of the Outer Rim

Two new armor sets were shown, the Brynjak Leather armor set and the Superior Hunter armor set. The former set is reminiscent of the armor used by the Naboo Royal Guard while the latter is closer to Lando Calrissian’s disguise at Jabba’s palace during Return of the Jedi.

You might be asking yourself, “What’s a Brynjak?”. Fortunately for you, this answer is given in the form of a mount you can earn in the new season. They’ll come in two variants, the Furious and Temperamental variants, one of which you purchase from a vendor and another you earn on the Subscriber track.

The F2P/Preferred weapons and Subscriber weapons were revealed and these offer either sleek or aged looks to your character. Some of the weapons feature cloth wraps to give it a “quickly repaired but still reliable” aesthetic.

New Loth-Cat Kitten!

To top off the rewards being shown in the livestream, players can earn the chance to get ANOTHER Loth-Cat kitten! This kitten is white with blue eyes and is absolutely adorable. This will make a fine addition to any collection.

New Feast of Prosperity Decorations

While we cool off from the Summer heat on Nar Shaddaa with the Nightlife Event, one can prepare their Autumn plans for when the Feast of Prosperity Event comes around. The devs shared some new decorations that will be available at the event, and they are of course food-themed.

One decoration is the Regal Chandelier Vessel decoration. It can’t be seen in these still images, but the top area rotates as if it’s filled with a liquid of sorts. The turquoise tones it offers would look great in strongholds such as Manaan, Dromund Kaas, or the Imperial Fleet strongholds.

Next we have the Regal Banquet Table, Grill Bar, Banquet Rug, and Grill Barstool decorations. These will make great additions to anyone’s kitchen, dining room, or restaurant they may have built in their strongholds. You can see some space cake, space octopus, space fruit salad, and space… whatever that thing on the right is.

Date Nights return in 7.5.1

Date Nights are being added for two characters. Few details about their missions were given other than you’ll be able to take out your romanced companions out on a date.

The two released with 7.5.1 are Aric Jorgan and Vette! . These Date Night Missions will be available for Troopers and Sith Warriors in active post-KotFE romances. Rewards include a Title, Achievement, and unique Decoration.

New Cartel Market Items

The first new Cartel Market item to be displayed was the Imperial Commando Armor Set. This is a fine looking set that looks like an upgraded version of the Imperial Trooper set you can purchase from the Collector’s Edition vendor on the Imperial Fleet. If you’re a hardcore Imperial soldier, you can’t go wrong with this classic looking set.

Many of the lightsabers seen in Star Wars: Visions season 1 were portrayed as lightsaber katanas with flat edge blades. Unfortunately, these lightsabers do not appear to have flat blades and will have the standard round blade.

Regardless, they look great but they can look even better with the new tunings! Two new weapon tunings are being added in 7.5.1, the Scattered Blossoms and Burning Embers weapon tunings.

Scattered Blossoms will have pink flower petals drop around your character while the Burning Embers has embers fall down around your character.

If you’re dual-wielding weapons and have both of these tunings equipped, they’ll overlap and have both flower petals and ember fall around your character.

Gearing Adjustments

The level of endgame gear is not changing, rather this update is to offer new ways to upgrade your gear. You may not always have the option to commit to Veteran or Master Mode Operations on a regular basis whether its due to a lack of free time, poor internet connection, or you’re not that skilled yet. These new updates will add Upgrade Caches or Currency on Weekly missions for:

  • Veteran Mode Flashpoint Weekly Missions will reward an Elite Decurion Cache or an additional 130 FP-1 Stabilizers
  • Master Mode Flashpoints will reward a Supreme Decurion Cache or an additional 310 FP-1 Stabilizers
  • Story Operations will reward a Tionese Upgrade Carche or 70 OP-1 Catalysts
  • Daily/Heroic Areas will reward a Noble Decurion Distribution Chest or 25 FP-1 Stabilizers

These Upgrade Caches will allow you to upgrade your armor sets into a higher quality. Your green gear can be made into blue gear, then blue gear made into purple gear. You’ll be able to fully gear up even if you prefer solo or small group content.

You’ll be able to perform the following trades with these caches:

  • Trade 3 Elite Decurion Upgrade Cache and Credits for 1 Supreme Decurion Upgrade Cache
  • Trade 3 Supreme Decurion Upgrade Cache and credits for 1 Rakata Upgrade Cache
  • Trade 3 Tionese Upgrade Cache and credits for 1 Columi Upgrade Cache
  • Trade 3 Columi Upgrade Cache and credits for 1 Rakata Upgrade Cache
SWTOR 7.5.1 Announced: Galactic Seasons 7, Gearing Update, and New Feast of Prosperity Rewards (32)

Along with these changes, you’ll have more opportunities at your favorite flashpoints and operations for farming gear! I’m looking at you, Eternity Vault.

Flashpoint Weekly missions can be repeated 4 times a week, Daily Missions and Heroics can be completed 3 times a week, and Story Operation Missions can be completed 4 times per week.

The FP-1 Stabilizer weekly cap will increase from 3,000 to 4,000 and the OP-1 Catalyst weekly cap will increase from 2,000 to 3,000. An unexpected surprise but a welcome one.

SWTOR 7.5.1 Announced: Galactic Seasons 7, Gearing Update, and New Feast of Prosperity Rewards (33)

The cherry on top of all of this is that ALL the weekly operations will be made available. As they are right now, the weekly operation missions rotate every week. One week you might have Temple of Sacrifice available, the following week you have access to Explosive Conflict. Now you’ll be able to access any of the operation missions at any time until you complete them and hit your weekly lockouts!

This gearing change definitely helps newer players but might not benefit players who have access to a Legacy Cargo hold and 340 gear components purchased from Hyde and Zeek on the fleet.

Author’s Note: As I was writing this article, Bryant Wood of Broadsword released more details about this upcoming change on the SWTOR forums. I have added this information to what the devs said in the livestream for this article.

Hey Community!

As we continue through the Legacy of the Sith expansion, we want to make further adjustments to improve the experience of our gear progression. Patch 7.5.1 will contain adjustments to increase reward choice and give more opportunities for progression.

More Choice in your Rewards
To help players progress towards Artifact gear, we’re going to increase the choice of rewards from missions. Players will be able to choose between the Upgrade Caches or more currency.

  • Veteran Flashpoint Weekly missions will reward an Elite Decurion Upgrade Cache or an additional 130 FP-1 Stabilizers.
  • Master Flashpoint Weekly missions will reward a Supreme Decurion Upgrade Cache or an additional 310 FP-1 Stabilizers.
  • Daily and Heroic Area missions will reward a Noble Decurion Distribution Chest or 25 FP-1 Stabilizers.
  • Story Operations Weekly missions will reward a Tionese Upgrade Cache or 70 OP-1 Catalysts.

More Opportunities to Get Stronger
We want to support players making more progress each week. We’re going to increase the amount of times our [WEEKLY] Missions can be completed and increase the weekly progress caps on our progression currency.

  • Flashpoint Weekly missions can be completed 4 times per week
  • Daily and Heroic missions can be completed 3 times per week
  • Story Operations missions can be completed 4 timer per week

We’ll also be increasing the availability of Operations missions, allowing more choice in which Operation you run each week.

  • Operation weekly mission rotating eligibility has been removed. All [WEEKLY] missions are now available from the Operations Terminal on the Fleet ships.

Weekly Progress currency caps will be increased to go along with these changes.

  • FP-1 Stabilizer will have a Weekly Progress cap of 4,000 (up from 3,000)
  • OP-1 Catalyst will have a Weekly Progress cap of 3,000 (up from 2,000)

Trade for Better Rewards
Along with the choice for currency instead of Upgrade Caches, we’re going to be adding a way for players to convert their Upgrade Caches to better gear.

  • Trade 3 Elite Decurion Upgrade Cache and credits for 1 Supreme Decurion Upgrade Cache
  • Trade 3 Supreme Decurion Upgrade Cache and credits for 1 Rakata Upgrade Cache
  • Trade 3 Tionese Upgrade Cache and credits for 1 Columi Upgrade Cache
  • Trade 3 Columi Upgrade Cache and credits for 1 Rakata Upgrade Cache

As always, we’ll continue to monitor feedback around gearing and itemization!

Catch you later, I have to gear up for the new Lair Boss!

Firebolt Edition Bundle

Starting July 30th, you can purchase the Firebolt Edition bundle for your SWTOR Account. This is similar to the Join The Fight Bundle where you’ll get subscription time, Cartel Coins, and other in-game goodies. You’ll receive the following items from the bundle:

  • 180 Days Subscription Time
  • 5,500 Cartel Coins
  • The Vectron 240R Firebolt Mount
  • Primary Metallic Red Dye (x5 per character)
  • Secondary Metallic Red Dye (x5 per character)

The Vectron 240R Firebolt Mount is listed as having a “Quick Burst” mode. Like the last mount that came with one of these bundles, it will be rideable at level 1 regardless of your character’s speeder proficiencies.

SWTOR 7.5.1 Announced: Galactic Seasons 7, Gearing Update, and New Feast of Prosperity Rewards (35)

It’s important to note that the dyes that come with this bundle only fill out the Primary or Secondary colors only. This is nice if you want to fine-tune your look with armor that already has good Primary or Secondary colors built in.

SWTOR 7.5.1 Announced: Galactic Seasons 7, Gearing Update, and New Feast of Prosperity Rewards (36)
SWTOR 7.5.1 Announced: Galactic Seasons 7, Gearing Update, and New Feast of Prosperity Rewards (37)

This bundle will cost $99.99 USD to purchase, but is it a good deal?

180 days of subscription time will run you about $77.94 USD, 5,500 Cartel Coins would cost $39.99 USD, add in the dyes and mounts, this would normally cost around $117.93+ USD.

If you’re an active player who constantly plays the game, this is a solid deal as you’ll be set for subscriptions for half a year and get a good chunk of Cartel Coins and goodies with it. If you’re less active or new to the game, it might not be worth it.

SWTOR 7.6 Teasers

The next story update for SWTOR will be called “Galactic Threads” and will be a holiday release. No specific timeframe for the release was given but in the past, “Holiday Release” typically meant around November or December.

A new Lair Boss will be released with 7.6. This is a type of operations boss where it’s just a single boss in its own instance. Some examples include Toborro on Makeb, the Mutated Geonosian Queen on Ossus, or the Colossal Monolith on Ziost.

Lastly, you can expect more art asset modernization to come with 7.6. This will likely include texture and model updates of the terrain on a planet. This happened with Tython, Korriban, Ord Mantell, and Hutta. What exactly will be updated has not been revealed yet.

When is the release date for 7.5.1

The devs stated towards the end of the livestream that they plan for SWTOR 7.5.1 to be released around late August. This is just an estimate and an exact date was not shared just yet.

Late August will be a busy time for Star Wars fans as we will have SWTOR 7.5.1 and Star Wars: Outlaws vying for our attention. Whichever game you’ll be playing, you can count on the VULKK team to provide coverage and guides for both!
